Spaceteams understood our complex value chains impressively fast and presented great solutions to our problems. Among other things, they made the complicated data flow of the system landscape understandable, even for non-IT experts. The challenge of developing a new tool in record time was of course a demanding effort, but working with Spaceteams was great fun. 

The human factor in particular was great - we felt understood at all times and were given the best possible advice and support. The enthusiasm and appreciation created an extremely positive atmosphere and a great result.

It was really great how quickly Spaceteams grasped the tricky dependencies in our value chain and was then able to present possible solutions for our operational "pain points" in a very short time. And they managed to present the complex data flow of the system landscape so straightforward and visually well, that even all users without IT knowledge understood it immediately. 

The preparation and follow-up of the meetings was also excellent and directly provided us with the decision-making basis for the management. Although the challenge of getting a new tool up and running in record time was undoubtedly a demanding effort, working with Spaceteams on this was a lot of fun. This was largely due to the great human element. 

Not only do we at all times feel understood, but we also receive the best possible advice and support. The enthusiasm and appreciation made for an exceptionally positive atmosphere and a great result.

Initial situation of the customer: 

As part of its digital offensive, our customer has fundamentally changed the system landscape around its advertising material process. The placement of advertising material with products had to be customised in a new tool for this system landscape. Above all, however, this technological innovation also meant a major change in the workflow of the specialist departments.

Our approach:

Proactive communication was particularly important in this project. We therefore saw ourselves as a mediator between the specialist departments and the digital offensive and moderated the transformation process at a local level. The constant changes in the system landscape constantly presented the specialist department with new, unforeseen challenges. However, we were able to solve these quickly thanks to a fast, agile approach and transparent dialogue.

Solution and results:

By working closely with the department, we were able to turn sceptics into supporters of the digital offensive. The new tool enables the department to make data-based decisions. Processes that previously took place in emails, Excel and PowerPoint are now centralised in one tool.

The access to data has to align with data protection law, internal approval processes and be implemented providing a self-service experience.

Spaceteams GmbH did a fantastic job in the process of managing the project. From creating an architecture idea, selecting infrastructure services up to planning the delvierables and interating on team feedback during the development process. 

This was facilitated by always being exceptionally well prepared for decision making meetings. Additionally all Specateams members were a pleasure to work with from a personal perspective and we couldn't have asked for a better suited vendor implementing the project.

Initial situation of the customer: 

The multichannel retailer Klingel had a host system for its purchasing, inventory and ordering processes that needed to be replaced. The data it contained was essential for the development of new software for many business areas and thus for the progress of the digital offensive. However, the host was not scalable to the number of consumers. System failures had to be avoided and there was a risk of downtime for several software teams.

Our approach: 

Originally only commissioned with one of the sub-projects, we came on board and quickly recognised the problem at hand. As we had the necessary technical skills, we took on the matter and - going beyond the actual scope of our task - developed a new solution.

Initial situation of the customer: 

Our customer, Klingel Mailorder, had planned to replace its old host system as part of its greenfield project and broad-based digitalisation strategy. However, just four months before the greenfield project start date, the important task of managing customer data for advertising material dispatch had not yet been integrated into the ongoing project workflows. As the deadline approached, it was crucial to find a solution for this crucial part of the marketing activities.

Our approach:

We responded quickly and our development team rebuilt a solution to import the existing customer data from the current system, update it using multiple data sources and distribute it efficiently to the relevant systems. Throughout the process, we considered the needs and requirements of the various stakeholders while ensuring strict compliance with European and national data protection regulations.

Solution & results:

With the new software, our client was able to select the recipients of its advertising material based on the most up-to-date and comprehensive customer profiles available. This in turn enabled highly targeted communication, eliminated duplicate mailings and led to significant cost savings in the advertising process.

Initial situation of the customer: 

Our client Klingel wanted to completely realign its planning process for campaigns and advertising material strategically in order to be able to act more flexibly and in a more customer-centred manner. New planning software was to be developed for this purpose. The challenge was that the processes were partly based on manual input, a lot of expertise was not transparent in individual departments and the changeover affected a large number of specialist areas.

Our approach:

Complex task? Challenge accepted! An important success factor along the way was an agile approach. We first gained an overview of the stakeholders' needs and divided the process steps into modules. In order to get everyone on board, we orientated ourselves on the tried-and-tested processes and developed the necessary changes in regular reviews with feedback from the teams. This enabled us to ensure the greatest possible benefit for all areas.

Solution & results:

The new tool has improved collaboration between departments and replaced time-consuming manual input. The customer has the option of test scenarios, detailed data analysis and can view the success of the campaigns at any time.

Our client, Klingel Mailorder, wanted to automate pricing with an external machine learning system for dynamic pricing based on product lifecycle and inventory figures. The main challenge was that the relevant data was scattered across different sources and the efforts to establish the necessary data connections had been ongoing for almost two years. Our client recognised the urgency with a final deadline looming and entrusted us with the task and the responsibility to make it a success.

Our approach:

We started the project with an in-depth two-week analysis of the requirements and the various data sources, which provided the basis for a well-structured plan. Our dedicated team then created a pragmatic proof of concept that enabled early testing and user evaluation. Remarkably, this initial MVP proved so powerful that only minor refinements were required in subsequent phases.

Solution and results:

Our software solution not only achieved a high degree of automation, but was also implemented at very low running costs, resulting in significant monthly cost savings in the six-figure range.

As a subsidiary of the WWK insurance group, intersoft AG develops IT solutions for various insurance products. The existing legacy system was to be modernised and replaced by a new architecture. This mammoth task involved many project teams, had already been running for a long time and was not developing the necessary momentum due to its complexity. The project stagnated as the deadline drew ever closer.

Our approach: 

In this challenging situation, Spaceteams came on board and took on an advisory role. With a fresh view from the outside and a comprehensive analysis of the situation, we brought new structure to the project. This often involved following a strict course and overcoming resistance. In the end, we successfully guided everyone involved through the process and met the deadline.

Solution and results:

The newly introduced systems could be integrated into the existing system independently of each other. Even if the system has not yet been completely replaced, this was a valuable stage victory.
