Our company has been instrumental in the development and implementation of an IoT solution that covers various aspects of IoT management and visualisation. As middleware developers and software architects, we developed APIs for the management of IoT devices and synchronised IoT and device data from backend systems for a large energy supplier. By implementing a user management system and providing web APIs, we contribute to a more efficient use and visualisation of IoT data.

In addition, we have created a React-based customer dashboard that enables end customers to manage and monitor their IoT gateways remotely. With our solution, we not only support our customers in opening up new business areas, but also in improving energy management through greater transparency in terms of costs and consumption.

The technologies used include Azure AppServices, Java, Spring Boot, GitLab CI, Docker, Terraform, Salesforce CIAM, gRPC, Thingsboard and modern front-end technologies such as React and Material UI.

Our company plays a central role in the development and optimisation of several middleware and microservice solutions for E.ON, with a clear focus on improving the system architecture and the development process. In cooperation with various E.ON units, we contribute significantly to the modernisation of the IT infrastructure.

As software developers and architects, we were responsible for the further development and maintenance of microservices that provide RESTful APIs for the integration of contract and customer data in end customer portals. In addition, we planned and implemented the migration of an on-premise middleware application to the Azure cloud, resulting in significant cost savings. The introduction of cloud technologies and optimised API management solutions has led to a significant increase in efficiency and reliability.

In addition to technical development, as Scrum Masters we supported teams in the application of agile methods, organised regular Scrum meetings and improved the transparency of team tasks by maintaining Jira boards.

The technologies used include Java, Spring Boot, Docker, Microsoft Azure, Azure API Management, GitLab CI, Terraform, SAP JCo/SNC, Salesforce CIAM, as well as tools such as JIRA and Confluence to support the agile way of working.
