Our customer DATEV uses our Belbook data hub to automatically create e-books in epub format from InDesign files.
The InDesign files are uploaded, supplemented with metafiles and converted into various formats such as XML, Epub and Word via an intermediate DocBook format.
The layout is controlled via paragraph formats and extensive logics.
The end products are delivered to DATEV's internal product database as well as shops in various formats. The latest feature is automated delivery in MarcXML format to the German National Library.
Thanks to the digital bookshelf solution from Satzweiss, we are able to deliver our e-books directly and securely to our customers. Our readers have the choice of reading and editing their e-book as a PDF download with a personalised watermark or as a flipbook in the browser. A barrier-free presentation with Voice Reader is also planned. Thanks to the connection to our online shop, order transmission and generation of the personalised watermark are fully automatic.

The Vogel Communications Group's new bookshelf went live together with the new specialist book shop in summer 2024. The technical basis - the 110 ecode delivery platform from satzweiss.com - stands for secure and personalised e-book delivery.
New functions are available in the current release, in particular the personalised bookshelf and the online reading function. The read-aloud function is available for digital accessibility. The publisher utilises extensive administration options and statistical analyses.
Customers can access their purchased books online or offline at any time, and corporate customers can also access the entire range of specialist books and read them online without restrictions.
