Why Photonic Codes? If you are looking for a company that - can start the project promptly, or - communicates work progress and results transparently, or - also has the capacities for large, complex projects - has suitable external partners, e.g. for hardware or cloud hosting - has innovative ideas that always have your added value in mind - is flexible - plans together with you and always finds an uncomplicated solution - uses tried-and-tested software modules that already run like Swiss clockwork The genesis of Photonic Codes: Founder and computer science bachelor Christian Wiegand from Kassel has been a software developer since 2014 and initially worked in the insurance and banking environment, including at a large Dutch bank in Frankfurt am Main. Parallel to his job, he repeatedly received requests for projects, for which he initially used his free time and weekends. However, this was not a possible permanent situation, and it became increasingly difficult to continue in this form. Therefore, as a senior software developer in the meantime, he founded the company in mid-2019, specialising in full-stack software development from front-end to back-end. Today, the company already has three selected employees developing software with a demonstrated track record in Angular, Node.js or Laravel frameworks.

Project description

In the context of company acquisitions, it is first necessary to determine the value of the target company on the basis of annual financial statements. Then, on this basis, P&L, liquidity and balance sheet plans are carried out to find out whether the purchase is worthwhile. An error-prone and highly complex Excel file was used for this. However, since millions are often at stake, small errors can have fatal consequences.

Solution:

With the Deal Calculation Tool, calculation errors are eliminated in one fell swoop. The formulas are always correct. It also makes the user's life easier when entering. This saves a massive amount of time and is much clearer than Excel. Exports for business plans can be generated at any time.

Cash register manufacturer, tool for display and evaluation

Project description

Problem:

The client is an Android cash register manufacturer. Until now, his customers (restaurants, kiosks and hotels) could only save their cash register data. However, in order to get an overall picture of the figures, it was previously necessary to evaluate each cash register individually. A time-consuming affair.

Solution:

With our web app, operators can now see the data and figures of their cash register clearly in one place, make evaluations and make decisions on this basis. E.g. to decide which goods need to be reordered or which are selling well or poorly.

Project description

ReCC method a unique, systematic approach developed by C. W. for the development of customisable standard components that are constantly refined across projects. Which leads to time savings with the highest quality.

And the quality even gets better and better, because errors found earlier never occur again in all future versions of the element.

Project description

In the industry, when loading logs in the forest, it is currently still common to read off the plaques with the numbers on the logs and then look for them in a long paper list to determine their volume. The volume of the log must then be added to the total. The total sum is important to find out how much volume has already been loaded so that legal limits are not exceeded. Within the framework of this Internet of Things (IoT) project, a mobile app for Android tablets was developed, which takes over exactly the activities just mentioned. The added value for the customer is the significantly higher working speed, minimisation of errors and the possibility to immediately export the data to Excel.

Electronics, tool for transformation and fusion of Excel data with database

Project description

Problem

The customer was sent Excel files by its suppliers, which had to be laboriously and manually converted into a different structure and in which certain checks had to be carried out, with the aim of importing the data into an ERP system that was getting on in years.

All steps together took several hours and were error-prone.

Solution

Our web application imports the data from the Excel files and creates the desired data structure in seconds and checks everything for errors. There are various setting options for handling the errors. An SQL database was connected in order to be able to access the data later.

Exports are also generated in new formats at the touch of a button.
