Founded in 1948, BITZER Wiegetechnik had changed from specialised service unit to manufacturer of industrial weighing technology. Being supplier of complete systems, the company aims to optimise customer's operational sequences by means of its' products and services. Apart from the mechanical and electronical workshop, an own software developing department has already been existing since the beginning of the eighties. Consequently, top-quality and high-performance truck scales, hopper and bin scales as well as belt weighers are combined with sectoral or even individual software in order to generate complete logistic systems.

The company comprises the head office in Hildesheim and due to a wide network of service partners, BITZER can operate throughout Germany. Furthermore, BITZER collaborate with partners throughout Europe. In total, approx. 60 employees are engaged in order to offer excellent quality and groundbreaking products. By means of locally based and flexible service units, BITZER guarantees immediate on-the-spot support. The conglomerate of longtime experience, based on exceptional low employee turnover, makes up the comprehensive expertise in the automation of weighing sequences including data processing systems. Continuous input from customers helps to improve sequences as well as generating market-oriented innovations.

BITZER provide an approved quality management system. As certified manufacturer, BITZER is authorised to carry out conformity assessments, formerly known as initial calibrations, according to EU-Regulation 2014/31/EU as well as regulation 2014/32/EU. That means that BITZER is able to initiate weighing systems of non-automatic scales (e.g. truck scales, platform scales etc.) and automatic scales (e.g. hopper and bin scales, big bag scales, sack filling and weighing machine etc.) without the attendance of gauging office. As full-service company, we offer complete service including organisation of statutory re-calibration work. Furthermore, the company provides individual service agreements and standby service in case of need. We are member of Verband deutscher Maschinenbauer (VDMA) and Partner Company of the University of Hildesheim.
